Packaging company TricorBraun has completed the acquisition of Veritiv Containers, a supplier of glass, plastic, and metal containers.

The acquisition was first made public on 9 December of the previous year.

Veritiv Containers, formerly known as All American Containers, distributes rigid packaging solutions catering to various sectors, including food and beverage, wine and spirits, personal care, nutraceutical, and industrial.

The addition of Veritiv Containers brings seven new warehouses and more than 500,000ft² of extra capacity into TricorBraun’s network.

While the financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed, the acquisition is anticipated to have a positive impact on TricorBraun’s service offerings in North America and customer reach in the rigid packaging market segment.

Established in 1902, TricorBraun is a global packaging company with over 2,000 employees across more than 100 locations in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

TricorBraun president and CEO Court Carruthers said: “We are pleased to grow our industry-leading primary packaging offering, providing customers with expanded services and supply chain options.

“We have great respect for the Veritiv team’s expertise, quality, and customer service, and are excited to officially welcome them to the TricorBraun family.”

Last month, TricorBraun reached an agreement to acquire Euroglas in Germany and Glaspack in Austria.

Both companies being acquired have been supplying rigid packaging solutions to the European market. This move will expand TricorBraun’s presence in the Germany, Austria, and Switzerland region.

Euroglas and Glaspack, both founded in 1992, are family-owned businesses.

“TricorBraun finalises takeover of Veritiv Containers” was originally created and published by Packaging Gateway, a GlobalData owned brand.
