Telangana govt teams up with ITServe Alliance to drive IT sector growth in smaller towns

HYDERABAD: The Telangana govt has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ITServe Alliance, one of the largest associations of IT companies in the United States, with an eye on creating 30,000 new jobs in Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns of the state as part of the govt’s bid to decentralise It sector growth.
As part of the agreement, Telangana govt will facilitate the development of the necessary infrastructure, including office spaces and modern facilities, in cities such as Mahbubnagar, Warangal, Karimnagar, Khammam, Nizamabad, among others, and ITServe Alliance member companies in setting up IT and related operations there.
As part of the collaboration, Telangana Government has also agreed to allocate land in Hyderabad’s Financial District for the construction of office buildings to be occupied by ITServe member companies.
This will ensure a strong synergy between the IT companies’ regional and urban operations, positioning Telangana as a comprehensive hub for IT growth, Telangana govt said.
On its part, ITServe Alliance will leverage its extensive network of member companies to drive growth and create a robust IT ecosystem in these smaller towns by creating IT jobs.
The MoU was signed in the presence of IT & industries minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu and ITServe national president Jagadeesh Mosali.
The agreement also includes workforce development by fostering upskilling and reskilling initiatives to build a strong pool of industry-ready talent from within the local communities.
Telangana govt said the move marks a significant milestone in the state’s commitment to inclusive growth, regional development, and the creation of a strong innovation ecosystem.
Sridhar Babu said this was part of the state govt’s efforts to ensure that Hyderabad’s IT success is replicated in the state’s tier-2 and -3 towns as well through fostering equal opportunity and development.
“Telangana’s talent is our greatest asset, and we are focused on both skilling and reskilling the local workforce to make them industry-ready while bringing opportunities to their hometowns. This will help reduce migration to cities like Hyderabad, which is expected to face space constraints in the coming years, and aid in decongesting the city. This partnership with ITServe Alliance takes us a step closer to realizing this vision of balanced, sustainable growth for the entire state,” Sridhar Babu said.
ITServe Alliance national president Jagadeesh Mosali said the MoU represents an exciting opportunity for ITServe member companies to expand their reach and contribute to the development of untapped talent in Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns.
