India’s Q2 growth slows to 6.5%, down from 8.1% last year: Economists Poll

India’s economic growth likely moderated in the second quarter to a median 6.5% from 8.1% in the year ago and 6.7% in the April-June period, according to a poll of 17 economists, pulled down by weaker urban consumption, muted government spending and the impact of heavy rainfall on mining and electricity. The government will announce the number on November 29.
