Gentari’S strategic growth in India
India, with its ambitious renewable energy targets and robust regulatory framework, represents a significant opportunity for Gentari. The company has rapidly expanded its footprint in the country, aligning its operations with India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission and other decarbonisation initiatives. Through its subsidiary, Amplus Solar, Gentari has already established a formidable presence in the renewable energy sector, with 1.9 GW of solar capacity serving over 400 customers in the commercial and industrial sectors. Beyond renewables, Gentari is making strides in the hydrogen sector, a critical component of India’s journey towards net zero emissions by 2070. The company’s joint venture with one of India’s leading energy transition solutions providers, AM Green, focused on green ammonia production, underscores its commitment to positioning India as a global leader in green hydrogen. With plans to achieve a green ammonia production capacity of five million metric tons per annum by 2030, Gentari is set to play a pivotal role in the nation’s energy transition. Beyond the partnership, Gentari is also developing two Green Ammonia Projects in India in the states of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Here, Gentari has received local government support to develop the projects, meant for both domestic consumption and export. Green mobility is another area where Gentari is driving change. The company has deployed over 3,800 electric vehicles (EVs) and established over 280 charging points across India. Through its Vehicle-as-a-Service (VaaS) offering, Gentari is making green mobility accessible to a broad spectrum of customers, from gig economy workers to large corporations. The recent launch of the Gentari Go app in India, in partnership with local firms, further enhances the company’s ability to deliver seamless, integrated clean energy solutions.
